This 1968 photo show a view of the Hilltop area, looking east towards the oceanfront along Laskin Road and the Norfolk - Virginia Beach Expressway. The photograph was taken from over the Virginia Beach Drive In Theatre that was located on Laskin road between First Colonial and Westminster Road (site of the LaPromenade Shopping Center). Visible in the upper third of the photo is the southern end of Linkhorn Bay where it meets Laskin Road.
